A group of tourists had a close call while on a wildlife safari in India when two elephants charged at their vehicle, forcing them to make a hasty escape.

The incident occurred on January 20 in the Nagarhole Park wildlife reserve and was caught on camera by an eyewitness.

The tourists were exploring the area when the driver noticed the approaching elephants and quickly accelerated to avoid them.

The video shows the elephants emerging from the trees and rapidly closing in on the vehicle as it sped through the forest.

Despite the driver’s quick reaction, the elephants continued their pursuit, eventually crossing the road before disappearing into the wilderness.

Their trumpeting can be heard in the video, serving as a clear warning for the tourists to leave the area.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the tourists or the elephants during the encounter.
