The footage, taken by local cameraman Channarong Tom Srisa-ard on March 22, highlights the playful nature of the calf in a conservation area dedicated to the ethical treatment of elephants.

The setting supports efforts to protect and nurture these animals, ensuring they thrive in a safe environment.

This charming scene follows another delightful event from the same area, where a ‘nanny’ elephant took it upon herself to teach a hesitant baby elephant how to play in the mud.

In that video, filmed at Thailand’s Elephant Nature Park, the adult elephant dove into the mud, covering herself from head to toe, while the young calf watched and learned.

Encouraged by the nanny, the baby elephant eventually tried it, enthusiastically flopping onto the soft mud.

The video was shared by Steph Snowdon, a volunteer for Save the Asian Elephants, an organization dedicated to elephant welfare.

The video was posted to Facebook on March 3 by Duncan McNair, CEO of Save the Asian Elephants and a prominent lawyer and animal rights advocate.

His organization continues to raise awareness about the ethical treatment and conservation of Asian elephants.
