A playful yet slightly annoyed baby elephant had an amusing standoff with a safari jeep at a South African game reserve, much to the delight of nearby tourists.
Captured in August by tourist Lesley Smith during an animal-watching trip with friends, the video shows the young elephant growing frustrated when the jeep blocks its path.

The elephant, determined to appear more intimidating, stomps its feet and swings its trunk aggressively, flaring its large ears to seem bigger.

Despite trying to scare off the vehicle, the elephant hesitates after a brief charge and eventually decides to walk away in the opposite direction.
Off-camera, the tourists can be heard laughing and snapping photos of the adorable display, with one jokingly asking a friend, “Why are you so obsessed with elephants?”

Ultimately, the baby elephant’s temper fizzled out, and the animal and the jeep full of tourists continued their day without incident.
