At first glance, this photograph seems to capture an unusual sight—a two-headed cheetah prowling the plains of Kenya.
However, the striking image is an optical illusion, showing two cheetahs walking in perfect sync.

Photographer Dan Galati, 44, snapped the photo while visiting the Maasai Mara nature reserve. Galati was lucky enough to catch the two big cats side by side, creating the illusion of a single cheetah with two heads.
“I took this photo during the wildebeest migration,” Galati explained. “It’s always exciting, as the big cats are most active. Seeing these five cheetahs in action was a thrilling experience for me. They are quite famous in the Mara and a major tourist attraction.”

Galati noted that the two cheetahs were walking in perfect synchronization, which prompted him to start taking pictures.
The resulting photo shows them step by step, creating the captivating illusion of a two-headed animal.
