When a shelter puppy finds a new home, it’s a hopeful start to a life filled with love and care. Unfortunately, the journey is far from a happy ending for some dogs, like Finn Alexander. Finn, a Chihuahua, has faced repeated abandonment, leaving him traumatized by human cruelty.
Finn’s story began in 2014 when he was rescued from the streets and taken to a shelter in Dallas, United States.
With rehabilitation, he was ready to find a loving family. Despite his charm, only one family adopted him, hoping to give him a forever home. However, in 2019, Finn was returned to the shelter for reasons unknown.

Rescuers stepped in to find Finn a new home, and he seemed to find happiness again. But his joy was short-lived as he was abandoned for the third time, this time found huddled in a tiny box at a park with his belongings.

CAMO Rescue shared Finn’s heartbreaking tale to raise awareness and find him a deserving home. Despite years of suffering, Finn remains fearful, his body language reflecting his mistrust.
CAMO Rescue, Denton Animal Shelter, and Dallas Animal Shelter are working together to secure Finn a permanent home.
Prospective adopters can meet Finn through the shelter’s website but must undergo a stringent selection process.

Finn’s story serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and responsibility towards animals.
He deserves a loving family who will cherish him and give him the care he desperately needs. Let’s ensure Finn’s next home is his forever home.
