Jonny Lee Miller, known for his role in “Trainspotting,” recently opened up about his adventurous past with Angelina Jolie, his former wife.

During an appearance on Johnny Vaughan’s Radio X Drivetime show, Miller, now 51, shared a thrilling story about their unconventional Valentine’s Day outing: skydiving. While many couples opt for a romantic dinner, flowers, or chocolates, Miller and Jolietook a leapy.

Miller recalled how Jolie suggested they go parachuting at a southern Californian school, Hemet, instead of following traditional Valentine’s Day customs. “She was cool as a cucumber, fearless that woman,” Miller said, describing his nervousness during the tandem jumps.

The couple’s daring adventure didn’t end with a single jump. They went on to complete a parachuting program involving several jumps, but Miller admitted he was relieved when the weather prevented them from attempting a solo jump.

Despite their adventurous spirit, the couple’s marriage was short-lived. They married in 1996 but separated 18 months later, finalizing their divorce in 2000.

Vaughan added a unique twist to the conversation by recalling his memory of Miller and Jolie during a trip to Costa Rica. He mentioned their quirky pastime of knife throwing, a hobby they practiced in hotel rooms during their travels.

Beyond his adventurous past, Miller is reprising his role in the West End transfer of “A Mirror,” a critically acclaimed play by British playwright Sam Holcroft.

The production has moved to the Trafalgar Theatre for a 13-week run, with a press night on February 1. Joining him on stage is “Sex Education” star Tanya Reynolds, who also appeared in the original production.

“A Mirror” delves into censorship, authorship, and free speech themes, featuring live music and a talented cast.
